Connecting Google Calendar

Every booking shows up in your Google Calendar, and events you already have on Google can block those times.

  1. 1

    Connect your Google account

Go to Settings → Bookings → Google Calendar and click Connect Google Calendar. Sign in with the Google account you use for your schedule and grant access. You can also start from the Connect Google Calendar card on the Overview page.

    • The connection applies to your whole account, not to a single calendar.
    • Once it's active, you'll see Connected and can choose your default Google Calendar.
  2. 2

    Choose where each calendar syncs

Open a BookBrain calendar, go to the General tab and use the Choose calendar field: pick the default, another one of your Google Calendars, or Don't sync. From then on, every booking becomes a Google Calendar event, which is updated or removed if the booking changes or is cancelled.

  3. 3

    Avoid double bookings

In the Scheduling tab, turn on Avoid conflicts: BookBrain checks your busy times on Google and doesn't offer them to customers. You can select which Google Calendars to check; if you select none, the default one is used.

  4. 4

Invite the customer to the event (optional)

In the calendar's Notifications tab, turn on Invite the customer to the Google Calendar event: the customer gets a Google Calendar invitation and can reply Yes, No or Maybe.
